“I letterpressed these cards as promotion for my freelance graphic design business. The Spencerian script is hand-lettered, and I stamped each card by hand with a stamp reading “Yes I Kan.” Since my name is unusual and often receives comments from clients and peers, I wanted to use it as a memorable marketing opportunity.”

“Grupo Habita hotelier group has been a boutique hotel pioneer in Mexico for over ten years, yet had no proper identity. Ten busy years after, we were asked to create a single ID for the rapidly growing group. The design needed to be neutral and timeless, but needed to transmit a sense of modernity. Using thick papers and grey tones we managed to create a discreet yet avant-garde identity.”

Total Graphics, in Vancouver, Canada, makes use of digital services ranging from printing to online applications to create custom solutions for their clients’ business problems.
St. Bernadine developed a new logo and identity based on the centuries-old tangram puzzle, to represent how Total Graphic’s services can be configured in unlimited ways – each time, creating a new, unique solution. The tangram, constantly able to change, also reflects how their services and expertise change and evolve to reflect new technologies and customer needs. The colour palette, pulled from the tangram puzzle, refers to how they always strive to help their clients in new and surprising ways.

“DDI (Despacho de Diseño Idustrial) is a young, independent industrial design group that needed a simple, yet eye-catching ID and stationery. We used bright yellow, and blue to create an edgy look while embossing the logo, which transmits an industrial, functional feel.”
BRR

“The conceptual idea behind BRR’s design identity is ‘succinct lyricism’. The BRR logo-mark is constructed from the modernist abstraction of letter forms, solely employing elemental geometric forms. The overlays and semitransparent interaction between the three letter forms alludes to our philosophy of integration and collaboration. Our bespoke typeface forms the foundation of the BRR identity system, it is further used to promote and highlight the fact that people are at the heart of the company, with keep member of the team given their own unique monogram.
Like many of the brands BRR creates, the new identity needed to create intrigue and connect with its audience. For our business cards we employed a subtle use of colour to highlight each members first initial and first name, the same colour is delicately picked up on the edges, adding a touch of contrast against a restrained monotone brand mark and building on it’s simple and modernist aesthetic.”

“Creencias is tequila distilled with respect to its history, its original process and yourself. Just as it was made in 1920. By not using any chemicals to grow it, distill it or aging it, we manage to bottle an all organic tequila, which unlike the rest, is kind to you and to the planet. Made timeless at Rancho El Mirador, Jalisco, Creencias Organic Tequila seems like an unlikely product today. Time cannot be stopped, but it sure can be bottled.”

“Auténtico Tequila Alacrán (ATA) or Authentic Scorpion Tequila is not a brand or some product created by a transnational corporation, Instead, it was made by a group of friends in Mexico City. The bottle’s unique rubbery, matte-black “Soft Touch” finish inspired the company’s stationery design using matte paper and embossed graphics to give it an urban, rugged look.”

“Fox Liquor Bar is one of three new openings by Chef Ashley Christensen. Renowned for modern southern fare with a French twist, her sensibilities in design are to the point with meticulous attention to detail.
For Fox, an underground bar, we embraced a deep color palette on its business card. Cultured but not up-tight. To hint at the bar being downstairs we’ve chosen a portrait orientation card. We printed Gill Sans Shadow in black on Neenah Classic pewter paper, then drew an in-line typeface printed in gold foil to respond to the lighting in the bar. That in-line typeface then became a dual-sided neon “Liquor” sign on the exterior of the bar.”
