“The premium and multi-award winning salon Cranium, based in Manly, recently received a beautiful re-design of the full commercial fit-out by Choi Ropiha Architects. To complete this extensive relaunch we were commissioned to design the new logo and identity.
Our concept for the Cranium identity came from a somewhat unusual angle, namely the salon’s physical location. Based on an iconic corner position for many years, Cranium has established itself as a geographic marker in Manly, often literally communicated as such in its miscellaneous collateral. The identity is fully based on ‘the corner’ literally and suggestive, through print and folding of collateral, which enables Cranium to fully claim and embrace its characteristic corner position.”
